Neon Bunny hopping over to London

Neon Bunny

If you are the kind of person who enjoys listening to or even watching live Korean indie music then you might have already heard about NEON BUNNY (야광토끼). But just in case you haven’t, here is a little background.

NEON BUNNY, otherwise known as Im Yu-Jin (임유진) is a singer-songwriter who started out as part of the Korean indie rock group, The Black Skirts, until she left the group to pursue a solo career. After debuting as a solo artist in 2011 with a hit album Seoulight, she won Best Pop Album at the Ninth Annual Korean Music Awards. NEON BUNNY has since released an EP titled Happy Ending in 2012 followed by a string of singles; It’s You in 2014, Romance in Seoul in 2015 and most recently Forest of Skyscrapers in 2016.

NEON BUNNY’s style is more indie rock mixed with synthesized pop and has been described as…

A dreamy, electronic mixture of lush vocals and modern indie from South Korea

Who wouldn’t be enticed to have a listen after reading that description!

But back to the title, NEON BUNNY is currently on a European Tour and has scheduled London to be her last stop before returning home to Korea for some much-needed R&R.  She will be performing at The Good Ship in Kilburn on Friday 3rd June (just a week and a few days away guys!!). You can check out The Good Ship’s Facebook page here and NEON BUNNY’s here and keep up to date on event details.

With the tickets being only £4 advanced e-ticket or £5 at the door!!! Why not go right!? If you are free Friday night, why not pop over and spend the evening experiencing first hand this “Dreamy, electronic mixture of lush vocals” ;D

For anyone thinking of attending, all necessary directions can be found here. And the location on Google Maps can be found here.

Have a listen to some of NEON BUNNY’s music as a warm up to next Friday’s gig.

A quick thank you to Mini Mini Movies for helping to organise NEON BUNNY’s London stop over and securing The Good Ship venue.
